Donald Sprague has been with the Coweta Band staff since 2016 and has worked extensively with marching percussion, concert percussion ensembles and competitive winter drumline. Mr. Sprague started playing percussion in 1980. He graduated from Union High School in 1989 and was active with multiple percussion aspects while attending there. Some of these accomplishments were Percussive Arts Society International percussion ensemble winner, 4th place BOA National Finalist, 1st place OBA State finalist multiple years, and lead Renegade Regiment percussion section to win the State Percussion Caption award in 1988. He went on to march at the University of Monroe and Oklahoma State University with both marching band and winter drumline. Mr. Sprague also has been very active with hot rods and drag racing for most of his life. He has been happily married to his wife since 1997 and is very active in his children’s activities.
